It’s time to scrap New Year’s Resolutions

Every year it’s very likely you will be asked “what’s your New Year’s Resolution?”

You will probably answer with one of two things, either “You haven’t made one this year” or you’ll use one you may have tried in the past but failed to keep.

Either way, I think I would be safe in saying you’re not going to complete it.

What’s new with Facebook events and how you can make it work for you!

5 tips to help you get more enjoyment out of your work

Bored, fed up and unsatisfied with your work? If this sounds like you then read on, here are 5 points to kick start you into a new frame of mind.

Let’s start with Planning

Everyone knows it’s good to plan (at least I hope so), yet many people don’t do it properly. A plan isn’t thinking “I’m going to complete this major task that was meant to be completed last week, today” its breaking that task into small manageable chunks and WRITING IT DOWN. It doesn’t have to be an extensive document stating every little section of the major task, keep it simple and easy to check with a quick look. This plan should be written on a flexible, basic tool, such as a pen and paper. If you’re not a fan of writing using a pen, then Word is probably the next best option.

Once you have completed your plan, make sure you check it regularly, see how far along your plan you are and what is next. Make sure you stick to it and if anything needs to be changed because it is out of date… change it! Plans are not static.
